Mission
We believe the following:

1. The Great Commission: Matt. 28:18-20: Jesus said: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

2. Baptism by immersion or through transfer of membership "with acceptance of mutual recognition for all who are baptized into Christ".

3. Weekly communion as the central element of worship.

4. "Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and we proclaim him Lord and Savior of the world."

5. Our only creed is Christ. "Individuals are encouraged to interpret the scriptures in the light of the Holy Spirit and in the strength of Christian tradition."

6. Diversity. Men/Women are free to hold any office in the church.

7. Because we re a congregationally based structure, we believe in our right to govern through a board constitution and by-laws. We believe in our "right to call our own minister, own our own property and set our own financial policies."

8. We believe in the covenant linking our congregations with region and general agencies "in an interdependent and mutually supportive relationship, none the mere servant of the other, all accountable to each other."
